Oh My Gosh!!!!!!
I loved the movie "Breaking Away"! I watched it over and over! I can't believe you mentioned that one! I didn't think anyone else in the world had seen it but me.

I never saw it...I just mentioned it because I looked up "movies of 1979"...but now you have me interested! What is it about?

All great movies, two on Meryl Streep's many memorable roles! I may have been one of the few who actually pulled for Streep in Kramer v Kramer. If you've ever lived in a small town in the middle of trying to let go and grow up, you'll really like Breaking Away.

Sister Kitten was born in 1979.

I love "Rapper's Delight." That's one of the few songs I DON'T have on the ol' iPod.

I was 13/14 in 1979 - don't remember much. I love the flashbacks - they remind me of things that happened in my childhood. Thanks!

I think Supertramp's "Breakfast in America" came out that year - classic album!

I've been waiting for 1979 to come around on Flashback! It was the year I was born. I still find it so crazy that Rapper's Delight came out in 1979. For so long I thought it was the late 80s when it came out. I might be reading Sophie's Choice for the Take a Chance Challenge that wants you to read a book from your birth year. It's down to it and an Erma Bombeck book. :)
