~Flashback Saturday~ 1969~

Today's song was one of my Granny's favorites! She lived in the hills of West Virginia, canned her own vegetables, played the banjo, loved to fish, and could clog. And she LOVED Johnny Cash. She had this album, and played it quite often. This was one of her favorite songs. I think of her everytime I hear it!
~In 1969, I was five years old and had a new little brother. We still lived in Eastchester, NY.~




Richard M. Nixon is inaugurated 37th President of the US (Jan. 20).
Apollo 11 astronauts—Neil A. Armstrong and Edwin E. Aldrin, Jr., —take first walk on the Moon (July 20).

I still love Johnny Cash. We used to watch his show every week. Of course you are too young to remember that! Lol! Thanks for the memory.
