Teaser Tuesday

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following: * Grab your current read* * Open to a random page* *Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page * BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!) Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers! ;)

~Of course, there were plenty of other homely teenage girls in Port Arthur and they were largely ignored. Janis could have chosen to be inconspicuous, but she decided to fight what other girls accepted as fate.~ pg. 12 ~Scars of Sweet Paradise: The Life & Times of Janis Joplin

What's YOUR teaser today????

Janis Joplin wow - that one seems interesting.

BTW - your new book acquisitions look great too. Half Broke Horses is great IMO.

Oh my gosh, is this a book about the life of Janis Joplin???? If it is I have to have it!

I love that attitude! :-) It's a shame Janis Joplin's life was troubled and short.

Well, I would say Janis was certainly successful in her fight against being inconspicuous! Too bad she couldn't fight the demons that took over later. She was a tremendous talent and I loved her spirit dearly.

Thanks for the teaser...that is one woman that really made her place in this world in her own way.
