~The Honest Scrap Award~
This is the Honest Scrap award. It is for those bloggers who write from the heart. I received it from Diane at Spunk on a Stick....thank you so much Diane...I have never seen this award before! The rules are to pass it along to seven bloggers and then list 10 honest things about myself. Here are those deserving of this honor, bloggers who write from the heart:
Linda at Wander to the Wayside
Kathryn at Virginia Kate Sagas
Jenners at Find Your Next Book Here
Judi's Mind Over Matter
Lisa at Lit and Life
Serena at Savvy Verse and Wit
Kitten at The Bookkitten
Here are 10 honest things about myself:
1. I am in bed, asleep, each night by 9:00. If I am reading an awesome book, I will stay up later.
2. At one time, I was the owner of 7 cats...all indoors. (No, I am not a crazy cat lady!)
3. I am addicted to Cookout's Peanut Butter Milkshakes.
4. I worry about things that have happened in the past WAY TOO MUCH.
5. My dad calls me every night, long distance from NY, and has for the past 10 years.
6. Fall is my all-time favorite season.
7. I nap for 2 hours every Saturday and Sunday.
8. When I was little, I was afraid of Hippies (or any men with long hair).
9. I would go back to my pet grooming business right now if my back didn't hurt.
10. I love to eat popcorn AND raisinettes at the same time when I am at a movie.

Missy, thank you so much! It's especially an honor to receive it from you, as I've enjoyed you blog and your visits to my place so much. I had seen this award somewhere before and thought how cool looking it was and wondered how you get one (I didn't realize it was an award, just a gadget!). Thanks again.
You are too kind! Thank you so much. And, thank you for #8 - I really got a good laugh out of being afraid of hippies! When I was young, I was afraid of people with white hair. Now I have a head full of white hair and it isn't so scary after all:)
You're the best!
Thanks, Missy! That is so neat that your dad calls every night. My mom and I talk almost daily. I think we're both very lucky to have such wonderful parents!
BTW, two hour naps on the weekend totally rock!
Congrats honey!!! That is an awesome award!!!
And I love finding out those things about you... I love that your dad still calls you every night!!! Awww!
I hope you have a great night!
Well deserved :)
Nice facts
I used to own 9 cats, but they were outdoors. Now I just have one indoor cat.
Ha ha ha that is so funny that you were afraid of hippies! I love long hair on guys! Trace Adkins!!! Yeah baby!
I don't find my comment from yesterday where I sent my mega-thanks to you. Trust and honesty have been major topics in my life the past week, both personally and professionally, so this means even more.
I made a comment about laughing about your being afraid of hippies, but only because I had a similar fear - I was afraid of people with white hair and now I'm one of those people. I hope you weren't offended. I meant no harm.
Congratulations on your award! I think your 10 honest things. I think it's fantastic that you once owned 7 cats...crazy cat people are the best so if you are one, No Worries! (what else can I say?!) It's great that your dad calls you from NY every night!

Are we related? Except for the hippy phobia we share much in common! What are these PB shakes of which you speak?! My greatest love is PB - other than my husband, and my cats, and sleeping, and reading - but my favorite movie snack is popcorn with the Raisonettes dumped right in - I didn't think anyone else loved that combo!!! Congrats on your award :0)
Congrats on the award! I'm an early sleeper too, and that gets me a lot of flak from my friends (I live in a hostel on campus). They sleep at awful times like 2 or 3 in the morning, while I'm fast asleep by 10 most of the time.
Hazra: My roommate in college was an owl. She stayed up all night. I wanted to go to bed early so I usually slept with the covers over my head!
Molly: Cookout is this drive-thru place that has hot dogs and hamburgers, and an awesome selection of milk shakes....from Watermelon in the summertime...to Egg Nog at the holidays. Their peanut butter milkshakes are to die for. You have to eat them with a spoon...and when you get to the bottom, there is always a big glob of peanut butter...mmmmmmm!
My dad calling me every night began 10 years ago, when my first husband and I divorced and he moved out. He moved out on May 1, 1999. My dad has called me (almost) every night since then. People have told me that I need to tell him to stop, but I don't want to - personally I don't see anything wrong with it. If an evening goes by when I don't hear from him, it just doesn't seem right! :)
Congratulations on your award! It sounds like you have an awesome dad.
Kathy: Thanks for stopping by my blog!
My Dad is awesome...the most kind and generous person you would ever want to meet. :)
Thank you so much for thinking of me for this! It is a neat award and I always like learning about people with their 10 honest things. I love that your dad calls you every night long-distance. Having just lost my dad, this made me smile and wish we had called each other more often. And I envy you your wonderful sleeping and napping!! Fall is my favorite season too (I'm finally feeling it in the air and I love it!). And 7 cats does not make you a crazy cat lady ... but 10 cats does! Thank you again!
