What a year! We celebrated our BiCentennial, we were watching The Six Million Dollar Man (remember the theme song?), and everyone was buying CB radios! This was the year that my best friend Chrissy and I pestered the crap out of the DJ's at WABC radio to play our favorite song; Hard Luck Woman by KISS. Yes, I had discovered the masked men! I still mostly listened to pop that year, but by 1977, I had joined the KISS Army. (Maybe I shouldn't admit to that!)
~In 1976 I was twelve years old...I had braces, a low self-esteem, a huge crush on Vinnie Barbarino (John Travolta) on Welcome Back Kotter, and discovered the rock groups KISS & QUEEN~
~What were YOU doing in 1976?~

In 1976 we took a bicentennial trip across the US, with our ultimate destination being Colorado. It was fantastic. We started in our home in upstate NY and stopped in Philadelphia to see all that good stuff; Independence, Missouri; and I don't remember what else!
And I LOVED the 6 million dollar man. How I wish that were on re-runs!
I was ten years old in 1976! I hadn't discovered Kiss yet, but I do remember Abba and Andy Gibb. And do you remember the song "The Streak?" I think that was 1976.
And did you ever try to make those Six-Million Dollar Man noises? While moving in slow motion of course. Gosh, I bet we all looked like total dorks!

I LOVED to watch the Six Million Dollar Man!
1976 - I was 16 years old and I have to think where we were living at the time. Military brat and we moved every year of high school. Ah- Montgomery, Alabama and going to Montgomery Catholic High school for junior year. Had my first date with a college boy who french kissed like a dog - yuckie. Loved Welcome Back Kotter as well, and John Travolta of course. That's the year I came out my shy shell due to some wonderful new friends. Great memories.
Summer of 1976, I worked as a waitress on the Jersey shore. Was in college and didn't have a TV, or time to watch one. I think I was having the time of my life!
So funny - my girlfriends and I were just talking about the Six Million Dollar Man this past weekend.
1976 huh? I was 9.... I dont remember the Million Dollar Man, but I do remember John Travolta "Vinnie"....
I was 7 and love 6 Million Dollar Man, Vinnie Barbarino, Kiss, Queen & The Rolling Stones (my brother is 8 years older, so basically I had alot of "bad" influences where music was concerned. No Mister Rogers or Sesame street for me! I love your Flashbacks!
