~Teaser Tuesday~

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers! ;)

The confetti had not been swept up from all the New Year's Eve parties before George Wallace took his oath of office as Governor of Alabama. He was the epitome of hate in the south and quickly became the poster person for segregation. At his Inaugural speech he stunned the nation with his barbed words aimed at the Heart of Dixie; "segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever".

I remember George in the old days. Times have changed. Is this book non-fiction?

He was a character even back then. I always thought his wife's name Lurleen was so exotic. Are you liking the book? Have a great week and happy reading! My teaser is here

Book Bird Dog ~ Yes, this is a non-fiction book. It's awesome.

Kaye ~ I love this story! It is very well written and I love Martha...I am about halfway through the book now, so hopefully I will finish by the end of the week and can write a review for this....I recommend it highly. :)

George was quite the ass. I imagine he would have been spewing all kinds of horrible things in our current times regarding our selection of President, gay rights struggles, et al.

Thanks for the great Teaser - I just added it to my list.
