The Friendly Persuasion by Jessamyn West
A quintessential American heroine, Eliza Birdwell is a wonderful blend of would-be austerity, practicality, and gentle humor when it comes to keeping her faith and caring for her family and community. Her husband, Jess, shares Eliza's love of people and peaceful ways but, unlike Eliza, also displays a fondness for a fast horse and a lively tune. With their children, they must negotiate their way through a world that constantly confronts them-sometimes with candor, sometimes with violence-and tests the strength of their beliefs. Whether it's a gift parcel arriving on their doorstep or Confederate soldiers approaching their land, the Birdwells embrace life with emotion, conviction, and a love for one another that seems to conquer all.The Friendly Persuasion has charmed generations of readers as one of our classic tales of the American Midwest.

Great mailbox :)
I got Susan Hugginbottom and a highlander romance so I am happy
Your sparkley mailbox is so pretty! Both books look like good reads. Enjoy!
I just love your Christmas postbox. It is so cute.
Great books too, I hope you enjoy them.
Both seem intersting!
Mondays: Mailbox/Whereabouts
Your header is just so pretty with all the snow. Betty Boop must be chilly though. Your mailbox looks good - happy reading and enjoy your new books.
Chiming in to add I love your Christmas mail box!
Red lights sounds like a thoughtful read.
Enjoy your books!
Love your mailbox picture. Enjoy your books!
Both look really good. Love your holiday glitter. Here's my mailbox!
I love the holiday header with Betty Boop! Happy reading.
The Friendly Persuasion sounds really good, but the other just bothers me. The idea of stopping 3 times in a snowstorm for a drink kind of disgusts me.
I love your sparkly mailbox, too!
Oh, Red Lights sounds like something I'd like. Impressive cover! And your mailbox, all sparkly, is very fetching!
My MM is here:

That first one seems a bit disturbing, but I like the sound of the The Friendly Persuasion.
Have a great reading week!
I hadn't heard of these, but they both sound interesting. Hope you enjoy them.

I know I am all late, but I still wanted to say Red Lights looks really good! And I liked your Teaser for it, too.
