Teaser Tuesday

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

* Grab your current read*
* Open to a random page*

*Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page *

BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers! ;)

Today's teaser comes from Night Road by Kristin Hannah:

~She'd watched from a distance as her immature, coltish boy had become a man. Grief had shattered him, fatherhood had put him back together.~ pg. 307

What's YOUR teaser today????

Here is my teaser from The Wolves of Andover by Kathleen Kent (Page 8):

Martha saw it all clear in that moment: this was the instant her place in the family would be decided. If she lost her footing at the outset, she would forever be dealt with as no more than a servant.

"Coltish boy"? Never heard that term before. Is this about a horse?

Hey! Such a great blog and I love that you're from NC, where I came from! I'm going to be reading and reviewing "Sweetie." It's so close to where I was born, just near Grandfather Mt., near Blowing Rock and Boone, NC. So, I loved your review.
I'm a new book blogger/reviewer. Please come see me. I've just "followed" your blog.
Hugs,

Hi, Missy, I'm back! I just wanted to tell you I found out there's a new book out about the polio epidemic in Hickory, NC, during the 1940's. I don't know the name of it, yet. But, email me when you get a chance and I'll have found it by then.
Hugs, Deb/BookishDame
