All of these women were very young when they died. You were such a good friend to Julye.

In 1995 I finished up my freshman year of college, and worked at an ice cream parlor that summer. That fall I started my sophomore year and had my heart broken by a boy. And I took the worst classes out of all my four years. But I also joined Glee Club, went to Montreal, and made some of the best friends I've ever had--friendships I maintain to this day. :)Kittenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02387217950712644169noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6881592673750097460.post-5619492368445660792009-12-06T15:21:35.232-05:002009-12-06T15:21:35.232-05:00Oh gee, what a sad story. It is amazing, I have had sooo many friends with breast cancer these past 5 years (5 to be exact!) only one of them did not survive. It is a terrible thing!
I think if I could choose only one thing that I could wipe out - it would be cancer!Wall-to-wall bookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08866065085086660318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6881592673750097460.post-72534868543907850362009-12-06T09:41:17.258-05:002009-12-06T09:41:17.258-05:00What a sad story of loss! I'm sure you hang onto those!

My 1995 was really blessed...my first two grandchildren (both boys) were born in June of that year. A bonanza!

Also, it was my second Christmas in the home I'd bought the year before...an A-frame cottage in the foothills. I lived there for 14 years.Laurel-Rain Snowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00101090217639410913noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6881592673750097460.post-51822015311858105752009-12-06T09:01:36.619-05:002009-12-06T09:01:36.619-05:00Julye sounds like a beautiful person ... and you a...Julye sounds like a beautiful person ... and you are a beautiful friend! How sad that she lost her battle against cancer so soon and so young.

1995. Hmmm. My written records don't show that we found out that Melody had inherited my gene for Hashimoto's thyroiditis, though it was inactive. My brother Lawrence paid a surprise visit for five hours. Some friends from Colorado paid a long visit and we realized how much we loved and missed them. Melody turned 21. Aunt Helen died. And our horse, Lady, died at the age of 25! In looking at our photo album, I see that we met our future son-in-law for the first time. I drove from Georgia to Dallas to visit my dad and my old college roommate. David went to Colorado to see his family, and it was the last time he would see his sister, Sandy, before she died of breast cancer. A 100year old hickory fell on and killed my car. And our daughter got our first grand-cat, Jasmine. It was an unusually busy year!Wander to the Waysidehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14056931538024315352noreply@blogger.com
