Teaser Tuesday

My teaser today comes once again from The Help by Kathryn Stockett:

~I saw that dress four days ago and I knew it looked hussified - of course she had to pick the one with the low neckline - but I had no idea what would happen when she stuffed herself inside it. She's popping out like a corn cob in Crisco."~ pg. 318

    I loved that book, too! And that teaser is a perfect example of the way the story is told...

    "Hussified..." It's great!

    Here is my teaser from The Trophy Bride’s Tale by Cyrilla Barr (page 1):

    I have never seen an execution! I am terrified & tremble uncontrollably now as I stand on the fringes of restless crowd desperately hoping that no one will notice me in my shabby pilgrim’s weeds. At that I saw his face break into a warm smile and I knew I had at last reached safer ground.
